As part of the application process, you must:
The school may send the form directly to the Board OR give the form to the applicant. The applicant would then submit it, unopened, along with the application.
Official transcripts are NOT required if the nursing program was completed in the State of Vermont.
Once the application, fee, and supporting documents have been reviewed, the Board will determine if you are eligible to test.
If you are eligible to take the NCLEX, you will receive an authorization to test (ATT) and instructions on scheduling the test. You have 90 days to complete the test.
When passing NCLEX results are received by the board, a license will be issued.
About Temporary Permits:
Temporary permits, which allow you to practice as nurse while NCLEX results are pending may be issued within 30 days of program completion.
The permit is valid for 90 days and non-renewable.
The permit is void when NCLEX results become available.
